Our hospital has the most advanced radiological devices of high technology and all diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures are performed. The radiology department has technical equipment and experienced staff to meet all diagnostic and therapeutic demands of patients and doctors. The staff pays maximum attention in ensuring patients' comfort during the procedures.

Radiologists have the knowledge and experience to perform not only diagnostic procedures such as general radiology, computerized tomography, mammography, panoramic x-ray, digital fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, colored doppler ultrasonography, angiography but also therapeutic interventional procedures. The department provides services to patients and doctors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and reports are prepared immediately to accelerate the diagnosis and treatment process.

Ultrasonography (Us) and Doppler Ultrasonography

All ultrasonographic examinations such as abdominal, pelvic, kidney, thyroid, thorax, breast, hip, eye and cranial ultrasonography are performed. Additionally, transrectal ultrasonography, transvaginal ultrasonography and intraoperative ultrasonography are among the services provided. In addition to these tests, ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration and biopsies, fluid aspirations, catheter drainage procedures are also performed.

Vascular structures and blood flow can be evaluated in detail by colored Doppler ultrasound. Upper and lower extremity arterial and venous system colored Doppler ultrasound, portal Doppler, carotid and vertebral artery Doppler, orbital and scrotal Doppler, gynecologic and obstetric Doppler, renal artery Doppler and graft evaluation are among the examinations performed. These examinations are performed by highly experienced doctors. Unconditional patient satisfaction is one of the main principles of the department and patients applying for the examination can make an appointment on the same day and the waiting period is kept as short as possible.

All double contrast, biphasic and enterocolysis examinations of the gastrointestinal system can be performed. Excretory urography, cystography, voiding cystourethrography and retrograde urography are among the genitourinary system examinations performed. All hysterosalphingographies are performed with the help of an obstetrician and the images are interpreted by radiologists. In fluoroscopic examinations, it is especially important to perform the best quality examination with minimal radiation dose.

Mammography

Mammography is a special examination performed using X-rays in the diagnosis of breast cancer and other benign breast diseases. Mammography services include screening examinations for asymptomatic patients, diagnostic examinations for women with symptomatic breast diseases, stereotactic preoperative breast marking and consultations.

The technological features of the devices allow optimal magnification and compression techniques with minimum radiation dose. Galactography, ultrasound guided breast marking, fine needle aspiration and biopsies are also performed successfully in the department providing accurate and rapid diagnostic services for screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations.

Images of all examinations made using these devices are transferred to PACS system (Image Archiving and Communication System), and they are evaluated and stored by radiologists. The integration of the system with the hospital operating system (HOS) provides the opportunity to quickly reach the results from all polyclinics and clinics and to conduct consultations when necessary.

Computed Tomography (CT)

CT can take a detailed cross-sectional view of any part of the body and can be used in the diagnosis of many diseases ranging from soft tissue diseases to fractures. It is frequently used in cases where other imaging methods such as direct radiography and ultrasonography cannot clarify the case. Spiral or sequential scanning of any part of the body such as brain, vertebra, thorax, abdomen, bone and pelvic structures can be performed. CT-guided biopsy and interventional procedures are also performed to reduce the need for surgery and to diagnose the lesions.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

All neurological examinations (brain, neck and vertebral colon), vascular angiography (peripheral, intracranial, carotid and aorta), abdominal, thorax and cardiac examinations, breast MRI, musculoskeletal examinations, MR cholangiopancreaticography (MRCP), fetal MRI and functional MRI examinations can be performed. Functional MRI techniques comprise blood oxygen level dependent imaging (BOLD), diffusion and perfusion MRI, MR

spectroscopy and cerebrospinal fluid flow analysis. Breast MRI can be performed for the diagnosis of breast cancer in cases where mammography and ultrasound cannot make a definite diagnosis. MRCP examinations can display biliary and pancreatic ducts as noninvasive and rapidly replace diagnostic ERCP examinations. In the department, radiological examinations that require the use of anesthesia for patients of all ages can be performed under the supervision of a specialist anesthesiologist.
